The year is half-over and I’m really not sure where it went!
Life has really been up and down the past month. On the good side, my concussion has been deemed healed enough to get my driver’s license back (although I have to start over with a G1 – Learner’s Permit – due to the way Ontario’s licensing system works.)
On the bad side, my fibro has been taking a serious toll on my knees, to the point that I had to move a stool into the kitchen so I can sit while I prep meals.
(I really wish I had a better idea of what triggers flare-ups, so I could avoid them/fix them when they happen. But then, “unexplained pain” is kind of the definition of fibromyalgia.)
I managed to make some forward progress on my Adult Urban Fantasy WiP, including getting a few more chapters critiqued by my crit group. Not exactly sure where I’m going to find the time to work on them over the summer, but that’s Future Kaye’s problem.
And speaking of summer…
Since I have my kids home, I’ll be spending most of my time entertaining them, which means I won’t be able to write much here. I’ll post again at the start of August with a Check-In and Reading Update, but consider any other posts over the next two months to be a bonus.
Hope you all have a great summer.
